We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

General purpose of the position

The Reception Center Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the reception center facility and the implementation of project activities.

Tasks and Main Responsibilities

· Liaise with sector partners to assist for service provision, site planning, development of facilities, shelter and WASH and other services, ensuring that plans for implementation are shared among partners and community members to avoid issues, delays and confusion among stakeholder;

· Responsible for the organization of reception of new arrivals, including registration, allocation in the shelters.

· Ensure that crowd control system is in place during distribution and liaise with the service provider for the organization of the activity.

· Organize the information dissemination sessions through IEC material.

· Support the Reception Center Officer in the organization of referrals to services operated by Social Worker.

· Responsible for reporting of achievement and data related site populations.

· Represent INTERSOS with partners, stockholders and during the meeting, when necessary.

· Ensure – through clear weekly and monthly work plans –field assessment activities are carried out in a timely, effective and technically sound manner.

· Responsible for the overall management of the center and supervision of staff (4 Social Workers).

· Liaise with relevant public authorities and services providers in order to foster effective collaboration and represent INTERSOS in relevant meetings.

Position Requirements

Professional requirements

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant or any related subject

· At least 3 years of professional work experience in CCCM/Protection at a similar level including at least 2 years in emergency settings

· Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.

· Attention to detail and excellent numeracy.

· Ability to keep clear and concise records.

· Knowledge of Hausa and Kanuri is an asset.

Personal requirements

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with analytic approach.

· Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.

· Ability to achieve results effectively, considering the need for speed, scale and quality.

· Ability to integrate and work well within multiethnic and multicultural teams 

· Ability to work in austere and hostile environments.

· Availability to share accommodation facilities when required
