Job title: Consultant
Location: Beirut, with field visits
Reporting to: Programme Coordinator

2.Tasks and responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the consultant will perform the following tasks:
· Identify, prepare and write proposals to be submitted to Donors (Humanitarian Pooled Fund, BPRM, Italian Cooperation Agency), following INTERSOS validation processes and taking in account the donor guidelines;
· Provide technical input for multi-sectorial survey tools to monitor programme implementation, as well as to collect information from beneficiaries.
External and internal coordination
· Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant donor officers, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas.
3.Required profile/experience
· Degree and/or Master degree in humanitarian action or any related field
· Previously working experience in Lebanon or on Syrian crises is required
· Deeply knowledge of the humanitarian coordination system in Lebanon is mandatory
· Previous successful experiences in proposal writing is mandatory
· Good experience in proposal writing, donor rules, validation procedures, coordination of processes
· Experience in Project Cycle Management
· Ability to write donor reports and proposals in excellent English
· Gender approach acknowledgement would be an asset
· Motivation, team work, effective communication, organization and planning,adaptability and flexibility, resistance to stress, working towards objectives, negotiation
Professional competencies:
· In-depth understanding and knowledge of multi-sector interventions, including WASH and Shelter response programmes
· Ability to set high standards for quality of work
Technical competencies:
· Ability to manage human and technical resources
· Facilitating and encouraging open communication in the team
· Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
· Fluent English is mandatory. Proficient level of Italian is desirable
