JOB PURPOSE:
CCCM Monitor is assigned to each LGA (Damaturu and Gujba). The Daily site monitoring visit to camps/camp-like and Out-of-Camp settings, including the host communities. Conducting data collections through FGDs, and community/Household surveys, as well as carrying out community mobilization, communication with communities, and awareness raising in the targeted operation areas. high-quality technical support in the project implementation and will other project staff in the LGA to deliver excellent project performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out information/data collection on vulnerability, protection needs, and concerns of the targeted population; • Liaise with relevant services providers to foster effective collaboration in the provision of protection and assistance to IDPs living outside camp settings;
- Maintain constant communication with the camp/out-of-camp community-based structures in their language while respecting culture and traditions to identify potential problems, and formulate recommendations/solutions;
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to the field locations to carry out planned activities, follow up and ensure community participation in all activities;
- Carry out community mobilization, communication with the communities and create awareness on Basic CCCM concepts and other relevant topics as necessary;
- Support in the organization and attend all CCCM meetings in the targeted locations. Also, participate in CCCM coordination meetings at the Mubi level, needs assessments, and coordinate with other agencies and actors providing services in areas of CCCM to enhance protection and assistance of IDPs living outside camps;
- Provide detailed, accurate, and timely weekly updates on any development to the supervisor on activities, challenges, and areas in need of improvement;
- Ensure data protection for both hard and soft copies and maintain records to ensure appropriate means of verification for each activity Inducted as per the work plan;
- Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles, including Child Protection and PSEA policy;
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 2 years of experience in humanitarian work
- Minimum 2 years of experience in CCCM
- Basic knowledge of IDP context in Nigeria
- Basic knowledge of CCCM standards
- Basic Computer Skills
- English, Hausa, Kanuri, Kare-Kare.
- Resident/Indigene in Yobe (Desirable)
- Highly motivated, flexible, reliable, and trustworthy
