2.General context of the project
In Crotone has started the FAMI project, which foresees a final phase that will ‘handover’ the MESOGHIOS ambulatory to the local ASP.
The Medical Doctor will be in charge of the medical activities implemented in the last years within the Mesoghios project. S/he will have a strategic coordination role for the Crotone ASP in the management of the ambulatory and in exploring and starting new activities in new sites (Cirò and Capo Rizzuto), based on Mesoghios model.
3.General purpose of the position
The Medical Doctor will be the referent of the Project. S/he will implement and coordinate the ambulatories activities and the sanitary ‘table’ of the ASP that will support the Project. S/he will also ensure daily contact with Crotone ASP, in order to develop the whole project.
4.Tasks and responsibilities
· Medical responsibility of the project
· Provide medical assistance within ambulatory and in outreach activities of the project
· Coordinate all medical and paramedical staffs, as well as INTERSOS and Volunteers intercultural mediators
· Supervise an efficient management of the pharmacy and medical equipment
· Manage the outreach teams
· Coordinate and collaborate with the local, provincial and regional stakeholders involved in the project
· Monitor all the project activities and implementation
· Report his/her activities to the PM and the Migration Unit Responsible
· Ensure and develop collaborations and partnerships within the project
· Participate in advocacy initiatives and communication moment on behalf of INTERSOS
5.Required profile/experience
· Advanced degree in Medicine. Specialization in Tropical Diseases and/or Infective Diseases is an asset
· Advanced knowledge of Medicine of Migration is an asset
· Knowledge of the Calabrian context is an asset
· Ability to integrate and work with local community
· Knowledge of Italian and English is mandatory
· Managerial skills
· Good communication, representation and diplomatic skills
· Positive and proactive approach
· Strong dynamism
